‘Dreamer’ vocalist Janice Robinson has shared that she plans to release music ‘independently’ and has move herself away from past record labels after 35 years in the music industry.

Sharing on Instagram, Janice, who was known as the original vocalist of 90s eurodance group Livin’ Joy and has toured with the likes of Tina Turner, said:

‘After 35 years in the music industry I have officially liberated  myself from other records companies. I am now the owner of my own record label!

This was something I was terrified to do for years but now it’s official, please follow and go on the journey with me as a CEO of my own company. I have found artists going independent like Raye so inspirational.’

This will be a space where I develop and discover amazing talent around the world. The first release will be the world wide re-release of “ HIGHER” my amazing new single from my long awaited dance album.’

‘Listen.. life is about growing and evolving, never in a million years did I think I could do this, but after years of watching people take advantage of my talent and kindness… I just knew it was time to say enough. I am going to do this on my own and give my fans the music they deserve to hear. I want to feature my fans in the documentary I am filming so make sure when I go live you tune in because I will be picking fans to go live with me.

I will be filming again during thanksgiving so make sure you all stay tuned in.  I have my own company and I am so proud of myself I could cry. Once you see my documentary you will see a unique life story and it will definitely inspire you to live your dreams.’
