Multi-platinum country star Kip Moore unveiled Flowers in December and Wildfire today, two contrasting tracks showcasing his artistic versatility. The introspective Flowers in December, co-written with Erich Wigdahl and co-produced by Jaren Johnston, blends melancholy and depth, while Wildfire, co-produced with Oscar Charles, delivers a passionate, upbeat anthem, with definite Springsteen vibes. Both songs are now available via Virgin Music Group, accompanied by a poignant music video for Flowers in December.
About the releases, Moore said, “We’ve played ‘Flowers In December’ a couple of times live and the reaction was just so visceral we knew this had to be the next song to be released,” stated Moore. “I’ve always been influenced by different types of music, that began when I was a kid. This song has so many different threads of those inspirations running through it. I’m also fortunate enough to be in a new chapter of my career, and so with that in mind I decided to make good on releasing more and more music as the songs are recorded, and so I’m also releasing ‘Wildfire’ today. When we wrote and recorded this song there was no agenda in mind and all the walls came down on trying to fit into any kind of perceived box. I hope people are able to feel this music the way we did while making it.”
These releases cap an incredible year for Kip Moore, who won the 2024 International Artist Achievement Award at the CMA Awards. He also completed his Nomad World Tour, performing sold-out shows across Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa, including 25,000 fans at Cape Town Stadium.
With over 1 billion streams and hits like Somethin’ ‘Bout a Truck, Moore continues to blaze a unique trail in country music, proving his status as one of the genre’s most innovative and enduring stars.
