Pop icon Chesney Hawkes is back, reuniting with Nik Kershaw, the songwriter behind his 1991 smash hit The One and Only, for his new single Live Forever. The track, out now, also sees Chesney collaborating with producer Jake Gosling (Ed Sheeran, One Direction) and is the lead single from his upcoming album Living Arrows, set to release on February 28, 2025.
A Personal and Uplifting Album
Living Arrows showcases Chesney’s most personal work yet, exploring themes of joy, heartache, and gratitude. Inspired by Kahlil Gibran’s poem On Children, the album reflects on parenthood, independence, and living life to its fullest. Chesney describes it as a “roadmap” for his children, filled with messages about following their passions and embracing life’s challenges.
‘Live Forever’ – A Celebration of Life
The energetic Live Forever pairs racing beats, bright synths, and a soaring chorus with an important message about living boldly. Chesney wrote the song for his friend Vic Irvine, who is battling stage four lung cancer. “It’s about grabbing every opportunity and enjoying every second of life,” he shares.
Produced by Jake Gosling & Featuring Special Guests
The album’s success is fueled by Chesney’s deep connection with co-writer/producer Jake Gosling and guest contributions from Nik Kershaw and Chesney’s brother Jodie. Together, they blend candid songwriting with a buoyant pop-rock sound.
Championing Mental Health
As a new ambassador for suicide prevention charity CALM, Chesney is raising awareness for mental health struggles, a recurring theme in Living Arrows. His advocacy aligns with the album’s uplifting spirit and honest storytelling.
Exclusive Album Bundles & UK Tour
Living Arrows is available to pre-order in formats including Deluxe CD, Limited Edition Vinyl, Cassette, and more from November 27 via Chesney’s official store. Fans can also catch him live on his Live In ’25 UK headline tour, his first in over a decade, which features a mix of classics, new tracks, and covers performed alongside family members.
