Christopher Maloney Confirmed for X Factor Tour After Controversy
- in Latest
Christopher Maloney has been confirmed to be taking part in the X Factor tour despite his fellow contestants launching a Twitter campaign to get him replaced with Kye Sones.
He will appear on the tour along with show favourites Ella Henderson, Union J, Jahmene Douglas and winner James Arthur as well as other as yet unconfirmed acts.
Many people are surprised that he still being allowed to tour, and pick up the £100k paycheque, after he came under a lot of fire during the X Factor’s run.
He started off, and through much of the show remained a firm favourite with fans after he was voted on as the people’s choice but cracks soon started to show and rumours of bad behaviour backstage soon became rife.
He was accused of calling fellow contestant Carolynne Poole a “c***” during rehearsals for the final group performance and it hadn’t been the first time that he had been accused of showing a bad attitude towards the people around him.
It was in response to this that the contestants that will be on the tour started to campaign for the Liverpudlian to be ditched in favour of Kye Sones as they could not see themselves touring with him.
Maloney has taken to Twitter since leaving the show begging people to stop giving him abuse through the social media.
He tweeted: "Plz stop online abuse. All I done was follow my dream, coming 3rd was an achievement. feel gutted I didn't win and im unwell right now, plz xx."
