British singer-songwriter Sam Fender has shared “Wild Long Lie,” the second single from his upcoming album, People Watching, set for release on February 21, 2025, via Capitol Records. The reflective folk-rock track marks a tonal shift from the anthemic title track released last month, showcasing Fender’s ability to seamlessly balance soaring euphoria with introspective subtlety.

The new single is accompanied by a bonus track, “Me & The Dog,” adding another layer of depth to the artist’s forthcoming work. Produced over two years alongside Fender’s bandmates Dean Thompson and Joe Atkinson, the album was crafted in collaboration with heavyweight producers Markus Dravs in London and Adam Granduciel of The War on Drugs in Los Angeles.

Following the success of Seventeen Going Under, which chronicled Fender’s coming-of-age experiences, People Watching delves deeper into stories and observations of ordinary people living extraordinary lives. This album promises to be a bold step forward for one of Britain’s most lauded songwriters of his generation.

Fender’s People Watching Tour is set to captivate audiences across the globe. The North American leg begins on April 5, 2025, at Vancouver’s Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre, following a special underplay performance at Webster Hall in New York City on February 11, 2025. This intimate tour offers fans a rare chance to see Fender up close before he takes on larger venues.

The UK and European legs of the tour are already selling out at record speeds. December 2024 will see Fender performing to packed arenas across the UK and Ireland, followed by a sold-out European run in March 2025. In June, Fender will play four UK stadium dates, including three sold-out nights at Newcastle’s St. James Park and his biggest show yet at London Stadium. Remaining tickets for the London performance are still available at www.samfender.com.

Special guests include CMAT, who will support all four stadium shows, and The War on Drugs, set to perform on select dates in June.

With People Watching, Fender continues to solidify his position as a defining voice in contemporary British music. Fans can pre-order the album now and listen to the title track as well as the newly released “Wild Long Lie” through all major streaming platforms.
