Vevo, the world’s leading music video network, has unveiled its 2024 end-of-year charts, spotlighting record-breaking achievements by global stars KAROL G, Taylor Swift, and Eminem, while marking historic firsts for Country, Regional Mexican, and Hip-Hop music videos.

Global Icons: KAROL G and Taylor Swift

For the fourth consecutive year, Colombian sensation KAROL G topped Vevo’s Most Watched Global Artist chart with an astounding 3.5 billion views worldwide. She was followed by Shakira (1.96 billion) and Taylor Swift (1.95 billion), whose dominance continued on the U.S. charts. The Weeknd and Feid completed the global top five, while Ariana Grande, Maluma, Billie Eilish, and Lady Gaga rejoined the global top 10.

In the U.S., Taylor Swift held onto her crown as the Most Watched Artist, achieving 470 million views, while Future jumped to second place with 462 million views, thanks to an impressive 90-video release strategy that boosted his year-over-year viewership by 37%. Eminem, Post Malone, and rising star GloRilla also made notable moves on the U.S. charts.

Eminem Breaks Records with “Houdini”

Eminem’s nostalgic hit “Houdini” became Vevo’s Top Global Premiere of 2024, racking up 56.2 million views in its first two weeks, including a single-day peak of 11.6 million views—the highest of the year. The video’s viral impact underscored Eminem’s enduring relevance in the music world.

Meanwhile, Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” took second place globally with 51.1 million views and earned the title of Vevo’s Top U.S. Premiere with 23.5 million views. Other global debuts in the top five included The Weeknd’s “Dancing in the Flames”, Sabrina Carpenter’s “Taste”, and KAROL G’s collaborative anthem “+57”.

Historic Firsts: Country and Regional Mexican Achievements

Becky G’s “POR EL CONTRARIO” featuring Leonardo and Ángela Aguilar became the first Regional Mexican video to top Vevo’s Global Most Watched Music Video chart, amassing 312.7 million views.

In the U.S., Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” made history as the first Country music video to top Vevo’s US Most Watched Music Video chart, gathering 83 million views and breaking into Vevo’s Global Top 10 for the first time in the genre’s history.
