Renowned singer-songwriter Van Morrison has announced a series of rare UK live performances scheduled for March 2025. The tour will commence with four specially selected shows:
March 18: Nottingham Royal Concert Hall (7:30 PM)
March 19: Birmingham Symphony Hall (8:00 PM)
- March 23: Oxford New Theatre (8:00 PM)
- March 24: Stroud Subscription Rooms (8:00 PM)
Tickets will be available for purchase starting Friday, February 7, 2025, at 9:00 AM. Pricing varies by venue:
- Nottingham, Birmingham, and Oxford: £80, £65, and £50
- Stroud: £150 and £125
Tickets can be obtained through Ticketline or directly from the respective venues.
This announcement follows the addition of a third Belfast date in February 2025, after the initial shows sold out rapidly.
Van Morrison, born George Ivan Morrison on August 31, 1945, in Belfast, Northern Ireland, has had a profound impact on the music industry. His extensive career spans over seven decades, during which he has been honored with numerous accolades, including a knighthood, a Brit Award, an OBE, an Ivor Novello Award, six Grammy Awards, and inductions into both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
Morrison's musical journey began in the late 1950s, performing with various Irish showbands. He gained prominence in the mid-1960s as the lead singer of the Belfast R&B band Them, known for the hit "Gloria." His solo career took off with the release of "Brown Eyed Girl" in 1967, followed by the critically acclaimed album Astral Weeks in 1968. Over the years, he has continued to evolve his sound, blending elements of soul, jazz, blues, and Celtic influences.
