British-born artist Twinnie continues her rise in the Nashville music scene, seamlessly blending country storytelling with an infectious pop energy. Her latest single, ‘Woah Man’, exemplifies her signature sound while delivering a powerful message of female empowerment.
Opening with a bold R&B groove, Woah Man quickly transitions into a soaring pop-country anthem. Twinnie’s dynamic vocals shine as she champions the resilience and strength of women with lyrics such as, “Close a business deal with a baby on my hip.” The song celebrates the incredible contributions of women across all industries, from healthcare and politics to creatives and stay-at-home mothers.
The track was born from Twinnie’s non-profit initiative, I Know A Woman, which supports female creatives by providing funding, opportunities, and community. She wrote the song at an I Know A Woman writing camp alongside John Davidson and artist Abby Anderson before co-producing it with KK Johnson (Dasha) and Brandon Paddock (Dan + Shay).
A Tribute to Women Everywhere
Speaking about the song, Twinnie shared her personal connection to its message:
“This song is a global statement to highlight the incredible women around the world in all industries. It signifies the resilience and power of what it is to be a woman and celebrates those who came before us.
The person I think of when I sing this is a woman who raised three children as a single mother while working four jobs, with the help of her mum. To others, she may not be a Nobel Prize winner, but to me, she embodies what it is to be a woman and the best mum in the world.”
Inspired by Aretha Franklin’s Respect, Woah Man carries a powerful message of equality, commanding attention while maintaining a spirit of unity.
