Adele has had a very good week having been named “Entertainer of the Year” by the Associated Press and has had her song “Someone Like You” named as the song people are most likely to sing on karaoke by website the Lucky Voice.

To get the title of Entertainer of the Year, she fought off stiff competition from the likes of Psy and Taylor Swift but was ultimately voted on top by 137 members of the Associated Press which includes broadcasters and editors.

Previous winners of the title include Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift and the award is given to the person who is deemed to have had the most influence over popular culture.

Even though Adele hasn’t actually released an album this year, she has still been very busy having given birth to her first child earlier in the year and releasing the theme to the James Bond film “Skyfall”.

As well as her song “Someone Like You” topping the list of the most sung song on karaoke, she also takes 4th and 6th positions with her songs “Rolling in the Deep” and “Make You Feel my Love”.

It’s no wonder then that Adele was seen as the most influential entertainer with so many of her songs being slaughtered on the karaoke.
