Following a show-stopping performance at the Ireland v France Six Nations rugby match, where he delivered a stunning rendition of ‘Who’s Making You Feel It’ alongside both national anthems, Cian Ducrot has announced his latest single, ‘Little Dreaming,’ as well as three major headline shows.
The singer-songwriter, who sold an impressive 36,000 tickets to his outdoor shows in Ireland last summer, is now set to perform his first arena date in Dublin. He will also play his biggest venues yet in London and Paris, marking a significant milestone in his rising career.
These announcements come hot on the heels of Ducrot’s recent GRAMMY win, where he co-wrote the Best R&B Song winner, ‘Saturn’ by SZA. With over 1.4 billion streams to his name, the Irish artist continues to solidify his place as a major force in the music industry.
‘Little Dreaming’ bursts with infectious energy, led by a bright keyboard riff and jubilant vocal harmonies. The track is a celebration of individuality and self-expression, especially in today’s often polarizing discourse.
Ducrot sings, “I’ve got glitter in my tears and mascara on my face / I’ve got sequins all the way from my collar to my waist / Got a wave of iridescence painted on my nails / And I like it when you look, and you look a little pale.”
Reflecting on the song, he shares, “I love how theatrical this one turned out; it feels reflective of my personality. It’s about reconnecting with your inner child but also, as an adult, doing what you want, expressing yourself, and not caring what anyone else thinks. Hopefully breaking down those boundaries of toxic masculinity in the process.”
Ducrot has also released a teaser for the song’s upcoming music video, featuring an exciting cast from popular Irish television. Lola Petticrew and Hazel Doupe from the Disney+ series ‘Say Nothing’ appear alongside Chris Walley, known for his role in the cult comedy ‘The Young Offenders.’ The full video is set for release soon.
Cian Ducrot is currently on a UK and European arena tour as a special guest for Teddy Swims, with a performance in Manchester this Sunday. Tickets for his newly announced headline shows are now available.
