3x GRAMMY and 7x BRIT Award-winning global pop icon Dua Lipa has officially launched the Australia/New Zealand leg of her highly anticipated 55+ date Radical Optimism Tour, unveiling an all-new production and expanded setlist. The performance marked the first of her five-night run in Melbourne before heading to multiple nights in Sydney and Auckland.

With a dynamic new stage design and stunning, vibrant visuals, Dua opened the show with “Training Season” and “End Of An Era” from her third studio album, Radical Optimism. She continued with fan-favorite hits like “Break My Heart” and “One Kiss.” In a special nod to Australia’s rock legends AC/DC, she surprised fans with a cover of “Highway to Hell,” before delivering a stripped-back rendition of the Radical Optimism deep cut, “Maria.”

Ahead of the show’s final act, Dua created a breathtaking moment as she ascended into the air, surrounded by a ring of fire, while performing “Love Again” and “Anything For Love.” She closed out the electrifying night with her chart-topping hits “Don’t Start Now” and “Houdini,” leaving the packed crowd in awe.

Ahead of the tour’s launch, Dua Lipa and BLACKPINK’s JENNIE dropped their new track, “Handlebars,” along with a visually stunning music video directed by BRTHR.

Dua’s Radical Optimism album, released May 3, 2024, via Warner Records, has been a global sensation. It hit No. 1 in 12 countries, including the UK, where it became the biggest album debut by a UK female artist in 2024. The album also scored the highest week-one sales from a UK female artist since 2021. In the US, it debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart and No. 2 on the Billboard 200, marking her biggest sales week yet.

Beyond the success of Radical Optimism, 2024 has been a monumental year for Dua Lipa. She headlined Glastonbury’s iconic Pyramid Stage and Austin City Limits, and delivered her first primetime concert special, An Evening With Dua Lipa, filmed live at The Royal Albert Hall. Earlier this year, she also performed across Asia, with sold-out stops in Singapore, Jakarta, Tokyo, Seoul, and more.

The Radical Optimism Tour continues this Wednesday, March 19, with Dua’s second show at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, followed by three more performances at the venue. She will then wrap up her Australia/New Zealand run with shows in Sydney and Auckland before heading to Europe and the UK in May.

Later this year, she will return to North America in September, performing multiple nights in major cities, including two sold-out shows at Wembley Stadium in London, as well as four-night runs at both Madison Square Garden in New York and the Kia Forum in Los Angeles.
