Mumford & Sons have officially entered their next chapter with the release of their highly anticipated fifth album, RUSHMERE, out today. To celebrate, the band has also announced a massive North American arena and amphitheater tour set for later this year.
The album’s title holds deep significance for the trio—Rushmere is the place in Wimbledon where they first met, and now, RUSHMERE marks a fresh beginning for the group following a period of intense creativity. The record was produced by nine-time Grammy winner Dave Cobb and recorded across multiple locations, including RCA Studio A in Nashville, Savannah, Georgia, and Devon, U.K.
In support of the album, Mumford & Sons will embark on an extensive North American tour, kicking off June 5 in Bend, Oregon, and wrapping up October 26 at the CHI Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska. A diverse lineup of support acts will join them on select dates, including Japanese Breakfast, Gregory Alan Isakov, Michael Kiwanuka, Sierra Ferrell, Gigi Perez, Margo Price, Lucius, Madison Cunningham, Good Neighbours, and Divorce.
Tickets for the tour go on sale Friday, April 4. Fans can find pre-sale and on-sale information at www.mumfordandsons.com.
As part of their commitment to social causes, Mumford & Sons have partnered with PLUS1 to support War Child, a charity dedicated to protecting and educating children affected by war. One dollar from every ticket sold will go toward this important cause.
With four acclaimed albums behind them, Mumford & Sons have cemented themselves as one of the most influential bands of their generation. Their accolades include two BRIT Awards, two Grammy Awards—including the prestigious Album of the Year—and multiple chart-topping, multi-platinum records worldwide. Known for their electrifying live performances, the band has headlined festivals like Glastonbury and sold out arenas across the globe, with their 2019 Delta tour marking some of their biggest shows to date in the U.S.
Ahead of their North American run, the band’s U.K. arena tour sold out in under two hours, and they are set to headline Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Liverpool this May.
Since their last album, the trio—Marcus Mumford, Ben Lovett, and Ted Dwane—have explored solo projects while reconnecting with past collaborators. Now, with RUSHMERE, they return to the heart of what made them a global phenomenon.
