Bailey Zimmerman isn’t slowing down. The multi-platinum country disruptor has announced his hotly anticipated sophomore album, Different Night Same Rodeo, set to arrive August 8 via Atlantic Records/Warner Music Nashville. And if the lead single “Comin’ In Cold” is anything to go by, Zimmerman is baring more of his soul—and sharpening his sonic edge.

“Comin’ In Cold,” out today, swaps the rafter-rattling energy of Zimmerman’s past hits for something more stripped and emotionally raw. Produced by longtime collaborator Austin Shawn and paired with a video directed by Jerry Morka, the track sees Zimmerman trade grit for grace, leaning into vulnerable lyricism and a smoky, aching vocal performance.

The upcoming album promises more of this duality. Different Night Same Rodeo is shaping up to be a balancing act—one part arena-ready stompers, one part emotional gut-punch. Alongside “Comin’ In Cold,” the project will feature “Holy Smokes” (a platinum-certified hit), the crowd favorite “New To Country,” and “Backup Plan,” a collaboration with Luke Combs that already turned heads across country and beyond. Also on the lineup: “Hell or High Water” and “Holding On,” rounding out a setlist that seems determined to stretch Zimmerman’s range without losing his signature rawness.

It’s a bold follow-up to Religiously. The Album., Zimmerman’s record-breaking 2023 debut. That album didn’t just launch a career—it exploded one. It had the biggest streaming debut for a country LP in history and the largest all-genre streaming bow since 2021. Hits like the 5x-Platinum “Rock And A Hard Place” and 4x-Platinum “Fall In Love” made it clear: Zimmerman was here to shake things up, not play it safe.

And now, he’s taking it on the road.

The New To Country Tour kicks off tonight in Indianapolis, IN, with support from Dylan Marlowe and Drew Baldridge. Promoted by Live Nation, the 16-city amphitheater trek sold out 13 dates in record time. If past performances are anything to go by—complete with a band that thunders and a frontman who howls like he’s got something to prove—it’s set to be one of country’s most explosive live shows of the summer.

Zimmerman is also leading a stacked festival season with headlining slots at Country Fest, Boots & Hearts, Country Thunder, Windy City Smokeout, and more. The hustle, clearly, hasn’t stopped.

Born in Louisville, Illinois, Zimmerman emerged from the TikTok trenches in 2020 with a DIY ethos and a gravel-throated voice that felt too real to ignore. Since then, he's become a chart-dominating force, a streaming juggernaut, and one of country’s most unpredictable—and essential—new voices. The New York Times called his debut “comfortably bruising and appealingly bruised,” and with Different Night Same Rodeo, it looks like he’s leaning even further into that contrast.

Bailey Zimmerman isn’t just aiming for the top of the country charts—he’s trying to set them on fire.

Different Night Same Rodeo drops August 8. “Comin’ In Cold” is out now on all streaming platforms. For tickets, music, and more, head to baileyzimmermanmusic.com.
