- in Latest
Hugely successful South Korean rapper Psy has hinted that New Year's Eve could be the last we hear of his hit song "Gangnam Style".
The singer, whose real name is Park Jae-Sang, performed at Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve in Times Square New York and hinted before his performance to MTV US that it could be the perfect time to say goodbye to the song that made him a household name.
He said: "Being in Times Square on New Year's Eve is already special. It's the biggest stage in the universe - plus it's my birthday so, with all that, it may be the ending of Gangnam Style.
"I mean, what better way to do it? It's my biggest and most meaningful birthday."
Psy is very keen to prove to the world that he is not just another one hit wonder and revealed that he is pulling out all the stops to follow up "Gangnam Style" with a song that will be just as successful.
"I am working really hard on a new single right now," he explained. "I'm not saying Gangnam is ending on Dick Clark - I still have a lot of invitations to perform it."
