Pink Sued Over Album Royalties
- in Latest
Singer Pink is allegedly being sued $36,000 (£22,000) for royalties from her debut album “Can't Take Me Home” which was released back in 2000.
Gossip site TMZ claims that production company Specialists Entertainment filed the lawsuit in New York because the singer owes them money for their work on the album.
The firm claims that they signed a contract along with another company, Thunderstone Productions but the split in royalties that was agreed on never came about.
The company claims to be behind the title track of the album as well as the song “Hiccup”.
A spokesperson representing Pink was keen to point out that the singer herself is not responsible for the situation and told TMZ: “"Her record company Sony are responsible for paying the producers."
Pink has enjoyed much success since the release of “Can't Take Me Home” having released her sixth studio album “The Truth About Love” last year.
The album peaked at number 2 in the charts as well as the first couple of singles to be released from it doing well in the singles charts.
