Snoop Lion has revealed that he will teach his children how to smoke weed safely if they decide to take it up when they are older.

The rapper changed his name from Snoop Dogg last year on the advice of a Jamaican High Priest and revealed that though he would never actively encourage children to smoke weed, he would pass on the benefit of his experience if necessary.

Snoop has three children of his own, Corde, Cordell and Cori and said in an interview with GQ magazine: "It's not that I would ever push weed on our kids, but if they wanted to, I would love to show them how, the right way, so that way they won't get nothing put in their shit or overdose or trying some shit that ain't clean."

Snoop Lion himself reports that he needs to smoke in order to record his music.

"To write rap I've got to smoke a lot of weed," said Snoop in August 2012. "I need some music, old music, R&B, hip hop, anything that's 70s, 80s, 60s, something that's inspiring, then I've got to have a couple of females around for inspiration."
