- by Andrew Braithwaite
Beth Beighey is a singer/songwriter whose honest lyrics and powerful voice are the driving force behind her artistry. Beighey released her debut EP ‘Wild’ in June 2017. ‘Wild’ peaked at #22 on the US iTunes country chart, as well as spending days at #1 on the Switzerland iTunes Country Chart.
Now, the lead single off the project has Beighey nominated for multiple awards. “Just Another Heartache” has made it to the finals in the International Songwriter’s Competition. It is nominated for two categories including Country and Unsigned. Beighey also received five nominations at the Nashville Universe Awards, including Female Vocalist, Song of the Year, Rising Star, Radio Single and Video of the Year.
“I wrote Just Another Heartache about a year ago. It was more like therapy at the time, releasing an immense amount of pent-up pain and emotion I was enduring from a horrible heartbreak. I remember instantly feeling a sense of relief after finishing this one, (which only took me about an hour) because in that first hour I knew that the experience allowed me to create something special which would connect with a LOT of people! Not even a year later, Just Another Heartache was the first single released off my upcoming EP AND my first music video! Working with Chris Stanton on this video was a dream! As a recording artist, it’s a HUGE deal to count on a videographer to bring your music to life, and I felt completely comfortable and confident to let Chris take the lead! Both of our visions blended perfectly! This project was one of the most creative things I’ve ever been a part of and I’m more than excited to finally share it with the world!” – Beth
