Bad Touch To Release '‘Shake A Leg’ In October, Lead Single Skyman Now Available

by Cameron Arndt

Norfolk-based rockers Bad Touch have announced the release of their third album, two years on from their sophomore effort Truth Be Told, which spawned the radio hit 99%.

The new record, Shake A Leg, looks certain to up the ante on the group’s signature blues-infused classic rock, while also showcasing some of their most expansive and personal songwriting to date thanks to the organic way the album came together.

Guitarist Rob Glendinning says of their approach this time out, “We wanted to the album to embody songs that not only sounded fresh and exciting but also communicated lyrics that meant something to us on a personal level that our fans could identify with.”

The album was recorded in their home county at Orange Tree Studios, mixed by Andy Hodgson and mastered at the famed Abbey Road Studios. It will be released on October 5th via Marshall Records after the band recently signed a worldwide deal with the label.

The lead single, Skyman, dropped two weeks ago, with the catchy, effervescent tribute to legendary Allman Brothers Band guitarist Duane Allman accompanied by a cheeky, amusing video showing the band larking about in a camper van as they traverse a delightfully comically-rendered green screen highway and occupy themselves with various board games.

The video is a nod to Bad Touch’s near constant touring since the release of Truth Be Told, which has seen them co-headline the Planet Rock Roadstars tour with Broken Witt Rebels, support King King and The Kentucky Headhunters, and play at festivals including Ramblin’ Man and Hard Rock Hell.

It’s no surprise, then, that the new album will be supported by an extensive trek around the UK, again backed by Planet Rock and featuring support acts Aaaron Buchanan & The Cult Classics and Daxx & Roxanne. Here are all the dates, along with the ticket link:
