Artists come and go, and if they stay around for more than 10 years, there’s very often band member changes. Not so much with Little Big Town who have been together for 22 years, and have the original 4 members all still loving their craft.

Band members Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Phillip Sweet, and Jimi Westbrook have established themselves as one of the world’s best recording and live country music acts - a genre that has seen a huge resurgence in mainstream media and that looks set to continue growing with huge cult icons selling out stadiums, as well as new up and coming young musicians from around the world flying the flag for country music.

If you’re new to country or starting out on the journey, ‘Nightfall’ would be a great place to begin. It combines some traditional country styles that unmistakably reverberate throughout the song, the guitars and vocal harmonies are a great example of this. Nightfall guides us through a love story, describing the beauty of nightfall and sharing that moment with someone special; with phrases like ‘I’ve been dreaming of a night like this’ and ‘though it’s dark we can shine underneath’ you know that there is really no deviation from the true romance of the song. What Little Big Town do is structure a song that allows the listener a clear pathway to understand where they are within the music, with clear, well crafted verses and the big shift up to a really beautiful chorus that goes along way to remind us why they have been at the top of their game for such a long time. This song is beautiful, epic and will get a huge reaction from around the world.

Country music is definitely here to stay, with new artists appearing far more frequently thanks to the constant world class songs from some of the powerhouses. Nightfall will definitely up there with some of the most commercially recognised country releases.
