The Magic Gang are one of the UKs most entertaining live acts. Since forming in Brighton in 2013 they have built a reputation as a fun and high energy band that has masses of talent.

Comprised of Angus Taylor (bass), Jack Kaye (vocals, guitar), Kristian Smith (vocals, guitar), and Paeris Giles (drums) they have grown a loyal following and are starting to make major inroads into mainstream music.

‘Think’ hits you with some big chords and power from the word go before they kick into a high energy drum, bass and vocal that have high reverb guitars sitting over the top of the mix, but when you get to the chorus we have brass, backing vocals and a great full sound that has run ins and outs. ‘Think’ has a sound about it that is so refreshing, you can hear bits of the Kaiser Chiefs, I even got a bit of Spandau Ballet with the vocal, but the combinations and clever instrumentation has really given The Magic Gang a real contender here. They cite Weezer as a major influence and yes, you can hear that too in this track. With a live horn section, ‘Think’ is going to get audiences really hyped as it oozes energy, it has great musicianship and an overarching retro feel that takes pop, indie and elements of northern soul at points to an exciting new dimension.

The direction that The Magic Gang are taking is really exciting. The four piece are adding new extras to their work and it is sounding really excellent, with high energy unique genre combinations that will make them a great act to record and see live.
