Freddie Long released his debut single, ‘Jean’ in November 2018. Since then he’s been busy carving out a career that looks like it could be a pretty successful one.

He has laid the foundations with his initial releases and has already had some high profile slots on some of the UKs biggest festival stages. Now 2020 marks the time where the real potential of the UK based artist can really hit the big time.

When you see Freddie Long, you immediately think, ‘cool’ he looks like a new modern artist and with a song title called ‘White Water’, he is intriguing us with so many avenues that the track could go down. With an edge to Freddie Long’s vocal, a simple piano and a melody and lyric that flows effortlessly throughout the track, he successfully creates a love song based on desire that keeps you interested all the way through. With harmonies building behind the main voice, giving an epic feel to the mix, with the simple orchestration, the production has allowed for extra crashes and building in of extra vocals to add texture, yet at no point does that overdo the beauty of the song and bring the message home about the underlying love that is always referencing the need to be taken to the river. The comparison, style and beautify of ‘White Water’ works to compare the trials and tribulations of love in a creative and mature way. Freddie Long is a very talented artist and I think, with his style and effortless vocal, he will become a common name we will be hearing much more about.
