The Hertford born singer songwriter has been at the forefront of the British music scene for 8 years, after his hit single Budapest catapulted him into stardom. His distinctive voice and excellent song writing skills have meant we have heard many more hits from his creative mind and the Sweetest Human Being Alive is his latest offering.

They say that if you want something enough, you have to attract it into your life, you need to believe in it so much that one day it will happen. This would appear to be the approach George Ezra is taking with the Sweetest Human Being Alive, as he talks about the person who would most likely become his soulmate. With phrases like ‘I can’t wait to meet you’ we’re quite sure that there is a real distance between the reality of now and the hope for the future.

Compared to most new releases, this is a longer song, at nearly 4 minutes, with most other new releases being somewhere between 2 and 3 minutes. Not only that, but it is crammed full of lyrics to tell the story. With that in mind you would expect a busy production to keep listeners entertained! However, not this track, apart from the end of the song where some strings fill some of the backing, it is simply just George Ezra’s voice and a piano. This combination keeps you enthralled throughout the song, as the melody glides over a simple chord progression to bring across a song that has the classical arrangement of an Elton John classic, yet with the current dexterity of modern singer and songwriters. This creates a song that is truly beautiful..
