Mica Millar has been working on music for many years, and has gradually grown a good following around the country. More recently the 33 year old has been making headway with a string of critically acclaimed releases. Not only does she write and perform as tracks, but more often than not, she is the producer too! She is truly an allrounder in the music industry's ever changing landscape.

We never know when ‘Trouble’ is just around the corner, and Mica Millar’s latest release takes us through the warning signs and impact that this can have in our lives. Early in the song there is this wonderful line ‘go all the way down to broken hearted lane’ which points us in the direction of Trouble being a reference to relationship woes.

There really aren’t many tracks out there at the moment that fit this genre of music, which is a real shame. Mica Millar produces a real classic feeling soul track here, reminiscent of an Amy Winehouse or Joss Stone vibe. There is simplicity within the sound in terms of not over complicating the final production and I think this song would sound pretty close to the record live as it does in the release. There is a beautiful organ sound that subliminally sits quite far back in the mix and it really adds something special. Mica Millard's voice throughout is superb, it has soul and clarity of diction that really makes this song a wonderful experience to listen to.
