Following a few gigs supporting the Nimmo Brothers in November, New York blueswoman Sari Schorr has been added to King King's UK headline tour in January/February 2019 to set up a mouthwatering double bill of top class blues rock. King King, of course, are led by one half of the Nimmo Brothers' front duo, Alan Nimmo. With Schorr riding high after the release of her second album Never Say Never this year - and King King poised to go stratospheric on the back of fourth album Exile & Grace along with this year's massive tour with Europe this is a show not to be missed.

There's plenty of connections between the two bands, with Schorr's group featuring Nimmo Brother's bass player Mat Beable and former King King keyboard player Bob Fridzema along with drummer Roy Martin and guitarist Ash Wilson. The tour will follow Schorr's London Blues Week appearance at the 100 Club, previously reported by Music Talkers: https://musictalkers.com/latest-news/5277-sari-schorr-to-play-london-s-100-club-during-blues-week.

The ten date UK tour kicks off on January 31st in Nottingham and continues through to 17th February in Glasgow. Here's all the dates:

Nottingham ROCK CITY - Thursday 31 January

Birmingham Town Halll - Friday 1 February

Tramshed Cardiff - Saturday 2 February

KOKO London - Thursday 7 February

Bournemouth O2 The Old Fire Station - Friday 8 February

Brighton Concorde 2 - Saturday 9 February

The Waterfront Norwich - Sunday 10 February

Manchester Academy 2 - Friday 15 February

Newcastle Boiler Shop - Saturday 16 February

O2 Academy Glasgow - Sunday 17 February

Of Schorr's follow up to her debut, Force Of Nature, Classic Rock Magazine recently said, "Schorr can sing 'em. All husk and muscle, the operatically trained New Yorker makes you believe every stormy line of this game-raising second albums, from the boyfriend-flaying rebukes of Thank You and Maybe I'm Fooling, to the wistful roar that tees up Back To LA as a potential hit. You can't move for belters in the blues scene, but these lungs demand a little elbow room."

The venerable rock journal was just as impressed with King King's latest offering back in September 2017 saying:

"King King really do make this kind of thing sound so effortless. Having bagged yet more blues gongs over the past year or so, this fourth album and follow-up to 2015’s Reaching For The Light finds the band on top form, the warmth and power of their sound given a welcome tougher, riffier edge by a muscular mix from Chris Sheldon (Foo Fighters, Feeder). With not an ounce of songwriting fat on display, every song contributes to the overwhelming sense of a band enjoying a seriously creative purple patch."

With equally sterling live reviews coming in for both bands in 2018 the opportunity to see them together - on King King's first headlining tour for some time as well - will be one of the hottest tickets in the early part of 2019.
