Iggy Azalea in Feud with Record Label
Iggy Azalea has hit out at her record company after they refused to let her have a music video for new track “Zillion”.
Australian rapper Azalea debuted the track on Soundcloud earlier this month and record company Virgin EMI cited a lack of “buzz” surrounding the track as the reason for their decision.
Unsurprisingly, Azalea is unhappy about the decision and blames Virgin for not supplying visuals to go with the track.
Azalea wrote on social media: "Bad news update:my record label Virgin/EMI seems to feel the response to my viral record "zillon" (sic) wasnt good enough & im not allowed a video.
"I felt like it was dope so, whatever. (President of Virgin EMI) Ted Cockle doesnt wanna see me shine. what can i say."
"Anyhow i could say ALOT - but ill keep it mildly professional," she adds. "Just wanted to let some of you guys asking know whats happening (sic).
"If all else fails ill just drive around LA and play my new album really loudly every monday from 4-6pm hahaha."
Azalea is no stranger to controversy, having been embroiled in claims that she is appropriating black culture with her style of performing.
