LOS ANGELES - As their infectious debut single “Another Heartbreak” breaks on Top 40stations across the country, Hobart Ocean (www.hobartocean.com) has two unique and exciting tours lined up this fall.
 
The first is a five-date run performing at high schools in Southern California throughout October.The band will then be the opening act on four East Coast dates with pop/hip-hop icon and global teen idol Aaron Carter, who currently enjoying a career renaissance with a new single “Ooh Wee” and his 50-date Wonderful World tour.
 
The emerging band has just launched their So-Cal high school tour which kicked off October 6 atRedondo Beach High in Redondo Beach. Upcoming performances include Van Nuys High (October 13), Glenn High in Norwalk (October 20), Gahr High in Cerritos (October 22),Magnolia High in Anaheim (October 27) and Bolsa Grande High in Garden Grove (October 28).
 
The Aaron Carter dates begin November 4 at Levels Nightclub in State College, PA and include November 5 in Allentown, PA (Maingate Nightclub), November 6 in New Haven, CT (Toad’s Place) and November 7 in NYC at The Gramercy Theatre. 
 
Hobart Ocean is staying connected with their burgeoning fan base with the release of dynamic, multi-faceted new iPhone and Google Play Apps. A new iPhone 6 will also be given to the first place Hobart Ocean App user determined by points for the month of November.
 
Currently, the band’s charismatic frontman Travis Leonard is headlining an exciting U.S. based promotional campaign for Yeo’s, a globally renowned multi-national corporation and drink manufacturer based in Singapore and Malaysia.  
 
Leonard’s image is prominently featured on the company’s drinks in stores across North Americaand Asia, as well as on the U.S. Facebook page.
 
The four L.A. transplants that joined forces as Hobart Ocean have shared their infectious energy with thousands of fans this past year with regular performances at Universal CityWalk, one of L.A.’s premier entertainment and retail venues. The high-energy band beat out over 150 other acts to secure a regular performance slot, and at times have played for 5-10,000 people a night for over four hours. One of their performances caught the attention of Jay Hu, a onetime marketing manager at Jive Records who is now Managing Director of Swift Endeavor. He signed them as the upstart label’s flagship artist.

 San Francisco’s version of Italy’s comic cabaret festival, From the Shaman to the Showman, returns this year with double the fun. Society Cabaret presents two different nights of the Bay Area’s funniest singers and songwriters performing original songs and comic numbers from musical theater in the 2014 edition of Cabaret Comico: A Salute to Comic Singers and Songwriters, hosted by G. Scott Lacy and Lua Hadar.

The songwriter, DJ and producer of digital music known as Josh One has released his latest single, “Wrong Way,” featuring Shana Halligan of Bitter:Sweet. The track, dropping October 14th, has been published on the Plug Research Records music label, which sports such popular acts as Boom Clap Bachelors, Coultrain, and Mwahaha. Dark, jazzy, and unstoppably stylish, “Wrong Way” by Josh One is an electronica anthem sure to snare fans of every music genre.

Ian Thompson of Cricket Cemetery emerged from the fertile DC underground music/art scene and began his label pressing custom vinyl for punk and hardcore bands like The Shirks, Thick Skin, Beasts of No Nation, Dealbreaker and others. But Thompson is a musical polymath and he has proven it by signing local hip hop artists Uptown XO and Sean Born, avant garde duo Janel & Anthony, poppy folk duo Paint Branch, shoegazey The Tender Thrill, punkers Loud Boyz, grind metal band Purge, newcomers Putrisect, cerebral indie rock band Passing Phases and garage punks Highway Cross. Ian elaborates: "I can't comment on the importance of local music scenes. I've never really belonged to one, nor do I care. I grew up in hardcore, punk, hip hop and indie rock but I claim no affiliation. I affiliate myself with what I know and what I live for. I do what I want, and I all I want is to put out records for the bands I like and not starve to death in the process. Cricket Cemetery welcomes you."

(Lodi, CA) - Post-hardcore band A Skylit Drive has revealed an acoustic video of their song "Save Me Tragedy." The tune is off their newest album Rise that was released last year via Tragic Hero Records and mark's the group's fourth full-length. The composers of electronic music known around the world as Bemet have released their self-titled EP, “Bemet.” The extended-play record contains five original tracks for an approximate total listening time of 15 minutes. It has been proudly published on the InchPerSecond Records independent music label, entirely without financial support from the corporate music industry. Innovative, colorful, infinitely danceable and alive with sonic textures, “Bemet” by Bemet is the latest EDM record to prove that Israel's electronic music culture produces some of the best in the world.

Rather than naming names, Bemet cite as main artistic influences whole categories of music, including rock, jazz, psychedelia and experimental music, but their actual style belongs to more specific modern categories such as bass music, drum-&-bass, and breaks. The five tracks offered on “Bemet” showcase them as an act which utilizes elements of each to elicit various effects. Their aggressive overtones and tribal, yet sophisticated drums are akin to those found in rock and jazz, respectively. Their opening intro track, “Saboye,” is both psychedelic and experimental in nature, a fitting primer for the rest of the record. They are known in Israel and abroad as a vivifying live performance group.

Bemet are Hod Moshonov and Amir Bresler, composers who blend acoustic and electronic instrumentation for a top-shelf sound that has been turning heads internationally. Prior to Bemet's official formation in 2013, both Moshonov and Bresler enjoyed years of success as solo artists respectively. Amir Bresler toured the world with famous bassist, singer and composer Avishai Cohen, and has shared the stage with such talents as Daniel Zamir, Alon Olearchick and Shlomo Gronich. Hod Mosohonov, a widely respected composer in the Israeli electronica underground, himself, has collaborated with artists including Yossi Fine, Terri Lyne Carrington, Matti Caspi, and others.

Bemet's official bio describes them as having together “developed a language based primarily on rhythms, melodies and harmonies,” and an “open sense of humor.” “They combine their personal interpretations and thus form an honest and touching statement out of true, modern music,” it states. Bemet have already collaborated with such names as Laroz, MC Rebel Sun and Ruslan Sirota.
