The new show which is set to launch next year, seemed it was just a dream for the Geordie singer. Now it appears, the tables have turned and she has landed the role.
Teen singing sensation has been seen to flirt with a number of celebrities of late. The star who is reportedly receiving lessons in how to flirt, seems to be putting his newfound knowledge to use.
Although 2010 isn't over quite yet with a few big releases expected before the new year (Kanye West's "Good A** Job," "My Beautiful, Dark, Twisted Fantasy," and also a full album with Jay-Z) I thought I could do a round up of the top Hip Hop albums so far.
10) Lil' Wayne - I am Not a Human Being:
What year would be complete without a release from the prolific Lil' Wayne? While I'm not a big fan of Weezy's new stuff (this album included), I have to respect the following that he has established for himself. His work ethic, releasing a new mixtape practically every week it seems, is a lesson for all rappers trying to break into the game-the more you put yourself out there, the greater your returns.
9) Rick Ross - Teflon Don:
Another big release this past summer was Rick Ross' Teflon Don. Yet another album that, though it may not be his best, is worth noting for its effect on the Hip Hop world. Two tracks by producer Lex Lugar made the final album and started a scramble to get this young producer's sound on all new Trap albums
8) Chiddy Bang - The Preview:
A new name on the Hip Hop charts this year, Chiddy Bang broke onto the scene with their track "Opposite of Adults." Chalk this up as another rap album for college kids as the tracks have widespread appeal for casual rap fans. A feature by Q-Tip on an electro, 8-bit track gives this album some street cred as well.
7) Big Boi - Sir Lucious Left Foot:
As half of Outkast, you know that any album that Big Boi releases is going to be pushing the boundaries of the genre. However, once again, Big Boi accomplishes this while staying true to the roots of the genre and creating catchy tunes throughout.
6) 9th Wonder - It's a Wonderful World Music Group, Vol 1:
Legendary producer 9th Wonder has just released a compilation album with features from Skyzoo, Actual Proof and 9th himself. As you would expect, the album is chock full of real hip hop music, bangin' beats, and tight rhymes.
5) Nas and Damian Marley - Distant Relatives:
In my opinion, one of the best collaboration albums in Hip Hop history, this album is a journey through both Hip Hop and Reggae. Organic and creative beats, catchy hooks, and undoubtedly well-written rhymes make this album an instant classic.
4) Celph Titled and Buckwild - Nineteen Ninety Now:
Like 9th Wonder, Buckwild is one of those legends of Hip Hop production. So when he releases an album, real Hip Hop heads pay attention. His latest release with Celph Titled is true to form. Conscious rhymes over hard drums, back by well-flipped samples.
3) B.O.B. - The Adventures of Bobby Ray (Deluxe):
"Nothin On You," "Magic," "Past My Shades," and "Airplanes." Need I say more? With some of the best tracks of 2010, no list would be complete without BOB.
2) Eminem - Recovery:
Finally, a good album from Eminem post breakdown. This album brings us back to the days of old. Eminem's flow is on point as always, but the rhymes are once again talking about stuff that matters, while the hooks are still catchy.
1) Drake - Thank Me Later:
It's not every year that one of the most innovative Hip Hop albums is also one of the most commercially successful. Rapper/singer Drake's Thank Me Later is one of those rare occurrences. With a majority of the beat's produced by fellow Canadian Noah "40" Shebib, the sound was both unique and catchy. And Drake's clever one liners and catchy hooks were the perfect compliment.

Teen singing sensation Justin Bieber has reportedly hired Usher’s vocal coach, to retrain his voice now puberty is beginning to hit home. According to Mr Bieber, they have already changed key on some songs to accommodate notes he can no longer hit, not that his voice is considerably deeper.

The rap star Drake earns $155,000, Jordin Sparks $75,000, and Selena Gomez $100,000. He also trumps established stars, Bret Michaels $64,000, Sheryl Crow $146,500, and Weezer $150,000.
In a somewhat predictable yet disappointing turn of events, Wagner has been evicted from the X-Factor. The Brazilian finalist lost in the sing – off unanimously to Mary. Prior to the sing – off, Katie Waissel, four time survivor of the sing – off, was evicted from the show due to it being double eviction night.
X-Factor finalist Katie Waissel has eventually been evicted from the show. The singer who found herself in the bottom two on four previous occasions and who, controversially has been saved by the judges, found herself dumped out of the show.
Wagner has just been sent home on tonights X Factor. After 8 weeks of performing it finally came to an end. The cabaret type singer has come under criticism because of his success. Many of the judges didn't agree he should have got as far as he did.
Justin Bieber performed at the X Factor tonight and went down great, the fans were loving him. At the end Justin looked over to Cheryl and asked her to 'call' him with a hand gesture.
JLS band member Aston Merrygold, was left “freaked out” at the news that a female fan had broken into one of his apartment complexes. The singer, who was not present at the time, was told of the incident later in the day. Incidents of this kind seem to plague the band at the moment, with other members finding intruders in their homes.
Noel Gallagher is often cited as the driving force behind the band Oasis, where and the band saw phenomenal success in the 1990s. Since the much publicised split with Oasis front man and brother, Liam Gallagher, the band split up and both brothers have gone in their own directions. Where as Liam Gallagher formed a new band, Beady Eye, who have recently announced tour dates, Noel Gallagher has opted for the studio to record a new studio album.
Following Cheryl Cole’s outburst at Wagner last week about reports that he said, “just a girl from a council estate that got lucky,” it appears the Brazilian finalist had tried to explain the situation prior to appearing on the show.
With the release of the top ten controversial records of all time, it seems a way of achieving success is to create a record that manages to get itself banned, or at the very least a bad reputation. The top three in the list, all achieved this status, with the Prodigy’s 1997 ‘Smack my Bitch up’ topping the poll. The Sex Pistols, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, and XTC were all in the top ten.
It is a strange phenomenon that we tend to crave that we cannot have, regardless of the quality of the song. Though people rave about ‘Smack my Bitch up’, it is arguably not one of the bands best. The title and the fact it was banned providing a platform for its success. It is a little like gore in a film, it tends to bring in a larger audience if a movie has some, and a few more people if it has a lot. So the banned record achieves fame and sells a lot.
Ironically, though the Prodigy’s other songs have received critical and public acclaim, ‘Smack my Bitch up’, is likely to be the band’s legacy song.

Pixie Lott has released a video for her song ‘Can’t Make This Over’, which does sound a little like a DIY reality TV show, is shot in a mixture of greys and blacks and features the gimmick of starting from the end, does not really add much to the song.
